Guardian Angel
Everyone has what is now termed as a ‘guardian angel’; someone in Spirit who watches out for us. They generally are family members who have passed or those we knew in the Spirit World before we were born into the physical world. Generally they guide us throughout our life to ensure we learn the lessons we had planned to learn.
Spirit Guide
Once you decide to work for Spirit the dynamics change and you are allocated a Spirit Guide, who may or may not have been with you since birth. In essence they are to help you develop your psychic senses and eventual potential as a Healer, Mental and/or Physical Medium.
Making new friends
There are many Mediums who consider it is not important to know who your Spirit Guide is but a special bond of friendship develops when you can identify and communicate with your Spirit Guide. Like your physical friends Spirit loved to be recognised that they exist, that they are a unique personality - more often than not with a fantastic sense of humour. Remember the more you interact with your friends the friendship develops and so does the trust this is no different from the link you have with your Spirit Guide.
A love link
Spirit work on a love link and so the stronger your bond of friendship with your Spirit Guide is the stronger your protection. This bond is like a unique fingerprint that you will always recognise so that you do not fall victim to those negative Spirits who wish to deceive you or cause mischief.
Personal responsibility
The responsibility to develop any mediumistic ability is yours and not Spirit. They will work with you, but like us Spirit do make mistakes. Your Guide does not have a manual to work from; it is trial and error. You learn from each other for you are a team. Once you can communicate with your Guide your development will improve greatly, as my circle sitters know from personal experience.
To summarise why is it important to know your Spirit Guide?
On Earth there are good and bad personalities and because you retain most of your personality beyond death, so it is in Spirit. Therefore, when we work with Spirit we do it blind, on faith and trust that our connection to the Spirit Communicator is right. We can only interpret what we receive from the Spirit World and this does make us vulnerable to deceit but more often than not misinterpretation of the message. For instance, a family member who was a poor communicator while alive is not going to change in Spirit. Also you need to consider how easy is it for that family member to use those techniques to send you the Medium images (clairvoyance), sound (clairaudience) and sense (clairsentience)? Like a telephone line the message can become garbled. By developing your bond to your Spirit Guide you cannot be deceived, and when you interpret a message wrong or the communicator is not clear you can ask your Spirit Guide to clarify the message. The response should be almost immediately, because your Spirit Guide should be keeping those Spirit Communicators in order!!
